FLAGSHIP HEALTHCARE TRUST ACQUIRES SURGERY CENTER IN COLUMBUS, GA

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (June 9, 2022) — Flagship Healthcare Trust, a Charlotte-based outpatient healthcare real estate investment trust (REIT), has acquired the Chattahoochee Plastic Surgery Center located at 2430 Brookstone Centre Parkway in Columbus, GA.

The newly expanded, Class A, 10,768-square-foot property is home to Chattahoochee Plastic Surgery. The practice is the dominant provider in the area and attracts patrons from a 100-mile radius. The surgery center features three operating rooms and is one of only two in the Columbus area dedicated to plastic surgery.

The Chattahoochee Plastic Surgery Center is located in Brookstone Centre, a 148-acre, Class A office park, and is proximate to I-185 and amenities such as retail and dining. The property is also near two Piedmont Columbus Regional hospital locations as well as the 376-bed St. Francis hospital, making the property a sought-out location for physicians and medical offices.

As Georgia’s second largest city, Columbus is an economic hub and home to Fortune 1000 companies as well as Fort Benning, the area’s largest employer. Columbus was named one of the Best Places to Live in Georgia by Livability and one of Best-Run Cities in the U.S.

“Chattahoochee Plastic Surgery is the alpha plastic surgery practice in Columbus and is poised for even more growth and success,” said Flagship’s Executive Vice President of Acquisitions Gerald Quattlebaum. “Working with such a strong tenant was an important factor in this acquisition and an exciting opportunity for the Flagship organization.”

The team at Atlantic Union Bank, led by Kevin Kennelly, provided financing for the acquisition. The seller was represented by Collin Hart and Marc Flynn with ERE Healthcare Real Estate Advisors.
