ACQUISITIONS ASSOCIATE

Flagship Healthcare Properties is a fully integrated commercial real estate firm focused on clinical outpatient healthcare real estate. Flagship is looking for an Acquisitions Associate. This position will assist with investigation, research and sourcing of new client relationships within our acquisitions department. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Acquisitions.

Acquisitions Associate Responsibilities:

  • Prospect new client relationships and referral sources through telephone and email making use of Flagship’s databases.
  • Build rapport with sellers, listen, and solve problems
  • Research ownership records, databases, market data and industry trends while clearly communicating this information to the team.
  • Cold‐call owners in existing real estate assets in target markets.
  • Collect information to input and aggregate internal real estate database records into Salesforce.
  • Present company history and experience in the industry with potential clients.
  • Provide marketing materials to potential sellers.
  • Set weekly goals and track all key business activities
  • Assist with underwriting real estate investments if and when required.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Marketing, Business Administration, or other related discipline.
  • Previous sales experience is a plus
  • Communicates effectively with peers, superiors, and clients in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to block out distractions and listen intently to the conversation that is occurring.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Results driven, team player and detail oriented.
  • Dynamic, articulate and well‐spoken with a confident telephone voice and comfortable spending much of their time on the phone.
  • Ability to quickly learn real estate specific CRM and marketing/lead technologies.

ACQUISITIONS ANALYST

This position will assist with the underwriting, financial analysis, and due diligence process of potential acquisitions from start to finish. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Acquisitions.

Acquisitions Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite and perform extensive financial modeling of prospective investments for the firm’s private REIT using Microsoft Excel and Argus Enterprise.
  • Analyze and help present investment opportunities to the firm’s investment committee.
  • Assist Flagship’s marketing department with the creation of formal investment memorandums for the firm’s investment committee and debt and equity partners.
  • Participate in all aspects of the real estate acquisition process, as requested by team members.
  • Assist Flagship’s business development team in sourcing off‐market acquisition opportunities.
  • Utilization of Salesforce to update and maintain all aspects of the firm’s acquisition pipeline as well as properly documenting business development efforts.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or other related discipline.
  • Argus Enterprise experience is a plus, however training can be provided for otherwise well-qualified candidates.
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency, particularly as it relates to financial modeling.
  • Working knowledge of commercial real estate markets and related financial concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A positive attitude, problem solving abilities, organizational and analytical skills.
  • The ability to think and work both independently and in a team environment.

VICE PRESIDENT OF INVESTOR RELATIONS

The Vice President of Investor Relations will work closely with and report to the Executive Vice President of Investor Relations and Marketing. In this role you will be heavily focused on expanding the accredited investor base of Flagship Healthcare Trust through direct outreach to Family Offices, Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and Wealth Managers. As VP of Investor Relations, you will work closely with all members of the Investor Relations team, including Flagship‘s Investor Relations Liason and Sr. Associate of Fund Administrationa and Compliance who will assist the team in the onboarding and documentation of new investors, associated regulatory compliance and related reporting duties both in the United States and overseas, as well as ongoing communication with, reporting to and retention of existing investors once invested into the REIT. You will also work with members of the marketing, asset management and accounting teams to ensure proper flows of communication between departments in addition to particpating in a collaborative review of existing materials each quarter and the development of new content and materials to be shared with existing and prospective investors regularly.

Because Flagship is not a broker‐dealer or affiliated with a broker‐dealer, and because you do not hold securities licenses, incentive compensation cannot be tied to an amount of capital raised. Bonus opportunity would be determined by accomplishments on the following objectives:

  • The primary focus and objective for this role is to establish new relationships and cultivate existing relationships to grow Flagship’s investor base through proactive, outbound calling efforts.
  • Through direct efforts, notably assist the Investor Relations team in capital raising with a departmental goal of $100M+ annually.
  • Create new and leverage existing networks to perform targeted outreach to Family Offices, Registered Investment Advisors and Wealth Managers via direct cold calling efforts and other forms of outreach independently and with the support of the marketing department.
  • Promptly respond to prospective investor’s general and specific inquiries
  • Act as a spokesperson with the investment community all aspects of the REIT’s structure and performance as well as the manager, Flagship Healthcare Properties and its vertically integrated platform
  • Work with senior management to ensure efficient and economic delivery of quality investor communications
  • Obtain a thorough understanding of the Private Placement (reg D) offerring and subscription documents in order to answer propsetcive investor questions and assist in the onboarding process
  • Assist in preparing marketing and investor materials including investor decks and fund offering documents.
  • Assists with quarterly/annual reporting, updates and communications to investors and internal clients, regularly assessing content and professional appearance of all reporting and communication
  • Work closely with marketing team to help develop messaging for further investor outreach
  • Attend meetings and events (virtually and in-person) as-needed
  • Provide timely and appropriate reporting and documentation to senior management
  • Maintain activity in Flagship’s secure CRM and on the company server
  • Assist in preparation of board materials, quarterly calls and annual meetings.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience with at least 3+ years of direct IR work raising capital
  • Highly articulate, and persuasive verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and grow relationships with investors, advisors, business leaders, and analysts
  • Possess a strong network of investment community relationships, including investors, analysts, rating agencies, and financial media.
  • Technical knowledge, data analytics using CRMs (Salesforce), Excel, well versed w/PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to effectively work with all levels of Management
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dead-line driven dynamic environment
  • Innovative and creative thinker
  • Must be detail oriented and a team player

SENIOR ASSOCIATE FUND ADMINISTRATION AND COMPLIANCE

Senior Associate Fund Administration and Compliance will report to the Executive Vice President and Director of Investor Relations and Marketing. In this role, you will support Flagship’s global capital raising efforts by providing operational oversight to the team both for direct US investment into in the REIT and overseas investment via one of two international funds. The individual will be exposed to multiple aspects of Flagship’s vertically integrated platform and investor relations process, with a primary focus on compliance, due diligence, onboarding and logistics, transfer agent services, investor portal, REIT reporting, and analytics.

Investor Relations US:

  • Communicate regularly across all departments of the firm with specific focus on Asset Management, Acquisitions, Accounting and Marketing.
  • Maintain the REITs due diligence questionnaire (DDQ), virtual data room and other due diligence platforms
  • Respond to numerous ad hoc requests from internal and external clients for information and due diligence
  • Maintain awareness of client mandates, portfolio governing documents and regulatory restrictions
  • Be able to communicate directly with the Sr. Executive team/C-Suite on REIT related activity, reporting and data analytics
  • Provide regular daily and ad-hoc support to the investment team
  • Create periodic feedback reports about Flagship’s peers and the market
  • Assist our Investor Relations Liaison with subscription documentation and other ad-hoc projects and analyses as needed.

 

International Fund Marketing:

  • Coordinate with FHP marketing department to update marketing material following each REIT BOD meeting
  • Distribution of updated marketing material to distributors quarterly within 1 week of REIT BOD meeting
  • Coordination of information request from distributors and investors
  • Management of virtual data room, content, and permissions, updated regularly
  • Coordination of update calls with distributors
  • Maintain awareness of client mandates, portfolio governing documents and regulatory restrictions

 

International Investor Onboarding:

  • Coordinate with the distributors, representatives, and clients for on boarding new investments.
  • Prepare regular fund communication and reporting (NAV determination, performance summary, etc)
  • Serve as primary liaison with fund providers (audit, tax, administrators) including negotiating agreements, communication, etc.
  • Communication and coordination with placement agents and administrators regarding review and acceptance of client subscription agreement and documentation
  • Preparation of and DocuSign signatures for all payment instructions and other documents required for international trades and movement of funds up and down structures
  • Communication and coordination with administrators and clients regarding any KYC/AML information required.
  • Provision of wiring instructions and tracking wire transfers
  • Coordinating with outside accounting firm and administrators on debt/equity splits

 

International Administration and Accounting:

  • Receipt of all vendor invoices for dissemination to appropriate party
  • Preparation of payment instructions for fund expenses as required
  • Management of AP for fund and blocker entities to determine cash retention from distributions to pay fund/blocker expenses
  • Provision of blocker NAV to fund platform manager for calculation of Fund NAV quarterly following REIT BOD meeting
  • Coordination and communication between Flagship and fund manager regarding distribution to investors

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Accounting
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience (investment management/investment banking preferred)
  • Excellent quantitative and research skills and exhibits a strong interest in finance and accounting
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal and ability to interact with both clients and managers in other departments
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, & Adobe Acrobat Pro required
  • Multi-cultural awareness and interest in international business
