In 2020 Flagship began assembling residential parcels along Steele Creek Road in the rapidly growing south Charlotte Steele Creek neighborhood. Flagship put 3 contiguous residential parcels totaling just over 5 acres under contract and began planning efforts for a class-A multi-story, multi-tenant medical office building.

Flagship worked with community association leaders to design a mutually acceptable site plan for rezoning consideration. In 2022 the site plan and building elevations were approved unanimously by Charlotte City Council which allowed Flagship to close on the purchase of all three parcels and recombine the property.

Upon land closing Flagship immediately began working with its design and general contracting team to advance plans, refine the project budget, and place orders for long-lead procurement items that would need to be purchased in order to break ground in early 2023. The project is slated to be complete in early 2024 and will be home to multiple medical office uses looking to establish an office in the fast-growing Steele Creek submarket.
